BOISBRIAND, Que., Nov. 6, 2019 – Navaya has applied to Health Canada for a Standard Cultivation, Standard Processor and Sale for Medical Purposes licences to produce cannabis products. Additionally, Navaya has applied for a research and development licence to obtain a deeper understanding of cannabis plant genetics. Navaya has collaborated with Cannabis Compliance Inc. to modify its 100,000+ square-foot facility in Boisbriand, Quebec, aligning with and exceeding Health Canada’s May 8, 2019 Cannabis Regulation requirements, and to submit the licence and site evidence package. The timing of the licence submission is on target with Navaya’s business plan and projections.
Navaya has invested significant capital to establish a new global standard in cannabis production and distribution. The extent of modifications to the facility is significant and includes every detail such as the forms and types of construction materials, lighting, power, sanitation, security, temperature control and ventilation. Every aspect of the efficient production and distribution of cannabis has been addressed including process flow, all the way to record maintenance. The next step in the production phase is the installation of Navaya’s globally exclusive turnkey hydroponic growing technology. The equivalent of ten stories in height, each hydroponic machine will be installed in its own room resulting in consistent high-quality yields with the ability to control and minimize the risk of contamination and cross-contamination. At total capacity, the facility will be able to produce some 150,000 kg of dried cannabis annually.
“Our mission is to become a global leader in the cannabis sector,” says Mark Stermer, Navaya CEO. “We understand that this result is a natural outcome of executing at a consistently high level. Our facilities and hydroponic growing technology are essential elements in this journey. Navaya is now technically positioned to deliver on its mission. We recognize that it will be up to our capable and experienced personnel to optimize the technical resources. I am very motivated to receive the Health Canada licences and move forward with our plan.”
Navaya intends to introduce its exclusive technology, facility and leadership to media and industry partners in the next few months.
